5 reasons to start a podcast.

Many people wonder, should I start a podcast?

 

They'll then do a deep-dive on all the ways to record and make one.

 

Whilst others wonder whether it's too late, or just aren't quite sure what the point is.

 

So, here are some tips for starting a podcast.

 

First and foremost, you absolutely need to know WHY you want one.

 

I therefore list out 5 such reasons as to why you should start one, even today.

 

These are the reasons I started one and continue to do so now.

 

1. Personal Development: Creating a podcast is fantastic for building confidence, self-esteem and communication. I've mentioned it before, it was by far one of the greatest things I did to conquer shyness, self-esteem and social anxiety issues.

 

2. It's Exciting: You always learn something new. Some interviews with guests just leave you fired up, and the opportunity to learn and develop is enormous.

 

3. Building An Audience & Influence: Lots of people listen to podcasts and they're growing. It's one of the best ways to build the know-like-trust factor.

 

4. Establish Relationships & Opportunities. My second podcast was with David Wolff, who now is my business partner. Having guests is one of the best ways to establish relationships, which will subsequently open up opportunities that weren't there before.

 

5. Income Generating Asset: A podcast gives you leverage, and opens up several ways for you to generate an income. We're living in a time where we have an unsafe job-market. Businesses are also looking sketchy. A podcast is a great way to protect against uncertainty.
